Fundraising Activities |
We are working on two different online projects to raise money for Troop 150 and its members. Most of our fundraising efforts benefit both the Scout and the Troop. Unless you elect to support the Troop directly, the two online efforts benefit only the Scout who you choose to support. One online venture is with Trails-End Popcorn. Trails-End and BSA have teamed up for nearly 30 years to help fund the various Scouting programs. Click the Trails-End logo above to visit the Trails-End website. With their new interface, online ordering is easier than ever! Please visit the site and type in the FIRST NAME, the first letter of the LAST NAME, and the zip code for the Troop which is 36330. Click on the "search" button, and then click beside the Scout or Scouter you wish to support. We are working with the local Domino's Pizza franchise. Domino's offers a card that allows customers to buy a pizza and get one free. The card is good for twenty purchases. Each card is $10 with $9 of that going directly to the account of the Scout selling the card. We hope these activities prepare the Scouts to be productive members of society capable of making logical and moral decisions. Self-sufficiency is another goal as the program prepares boys to become young men ready to step up to be the leaders of the future. More on Domino's - This page allows family members living outside of the Enterprise area to purchase the Domino's pizza cards online. You my purchase as many cards as you like. We must add a $1 fee per transaction to cover the cost of processing the order online. Use the chart above to calculate how much postage is necessary to mail the cards to the same address. If you need to send the cards to different addresses, please calculate the postage based on how many cards you want sent to that address. No matter how many addresses, you only pay one handling fee when you pay for everything with one transaction.
In order to help us offset the cost of accepting online payments, shipping costs, envelopes, etc., a small fee is added to each order. Here is a breakdown of those costs:
If you pay online and take delivery of your items locally, there is a $1.00 fee to cover the fees we incur. Thank you for your understanding. If you pay in cash, there are no other fees! All online transactions will be handled via PayPal which allows you to use a credit or debit card. You may also use an e-Check through PayPal as well. You may pay for your order using a US Postal Money order. Through experience, accepting other forms of "guaranteed" funds causes all kinds of problems should there be an issue with the instrument. US Postal Money Orders can be cashed at the Post Office without any hassles. If using a US Postal Money Order, you do not need to include the $1.00 service fee, but you will need to cover the postage per address. You may get around that by sending us a self-addressed-self-stamped envelope. See, we really do try to make this as easy as possible! When placing your order, be sure to select the name of the Scout that you are supporting from the drop down box. For youth safety reasons, only the first name and the initial of the last name are given. You can always include the Scout's full name in the comment box when you get ready to finalize the payment through PayPal.
